Garth received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Buffalo. Garth has over 30 years of experience and has been involved in the development of large scale projects such as major distribution centers, shopping center developments and office complexes, big box retailers and small scale commercial projects. He is very well versed in the municipal approval process. Garth is a life-long Webster resident and enjoys cooking on the weekends.

David Weisenreder, P.E. — Wireless Telecommunications
Dave is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of New York. He is a graduate of Clarkson College of Technology with a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Mr. Weisenreder is a member of the NYS Society of Professional Engineers and American Society of Civil Engineers. Dave has 21 years experience of project management here at Costich Engineering primarily in our Wireless Telecommunications Department where he has overseen the design of thousands of wireless telecommunications facilities. His work on numerous wireless telecommunications sites in the Adirondack Park has provided him with a vast knowledge of the Adirondack Park Agency (APA) requirements for land use and development. Dave is a proud father of 2 and lives in Irondequoit. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, biking, yoga and skiing.

Mike Montalto, E.I.T. — Commercial/Residential
Mike graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Technology from the Rochester Institute of Technology, an Associates of Applied Science in Construction Technology and an Associates of Applied Science in Highways and Structures from Monroe Community College. Mike is a member of the American Sports Builders Association (ASBA), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and a member of Illumination Engineers Society of North America (IESNA). Mike currently is a project manager in Costich’s commercial department where his general responsibilities include all aspects of design from schematic to final construction drawings, including coordination and preparation of permits, stormwater management, contract documents, presentations at zoning, planning and town board meetings. Mike is an avid sailor and enjoys skiing in the winter.

Evan Gefell — Landscape Designer
Evan graduated with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from SUNY ESF. Evan joined the Costich team in 2013 and has a wide range of experience in design and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams. He has worked from conceptual design through construction observation on many successful projects. Project designs include academic, commercial, multi-family residential, and waterfront. Evan also brings diverse graphic abilities which are applied to a range of projects in the firm. In his free time he enjoys boating, golf and spending time with his family.

Dan Brocht — Commercial/Residential
State University at Alfred, AAS in Technical Illustration. Dan’s responsibilities are focused in residential design and development. Mr. Brocht designs for individual housing units, multi-family residences and multiple lot subdivisions. Dan has excellent professional relationships with multiple municipal departments throughout Monroe County, NY. He’s very familiar with all agency requirements, standards and recommendations with regard to residential developments. Dan lives in Greece with his family and enjoys fishing in his free time. He also enjoys buying and selling antique/rare books.

Chris Miles — Wireless Telecommunications
State University at Alfred, AAS in Architectural Engineering Technology. Chris has 25 years of experience here at Costich Engineering. He has worked in several departments here but his main focus is in the wireless telecommunications department. Chris has designed thousands of wireless telecommunications facilities throughout New York State and Pennsylvania. One of his most notable projects in the Rochester area is the coordination of the cellular installation on the 225 million dollar renovation at the Sibley Building. Chris is the father of 2 and has been a youth soccer coach for the last 15 years.

Alex Amering, P.E. — Project Manager
Registered Professional Engineer in New York. Alex graduated from Clarkson University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering. Alex started his career as a college intern in 2008 here at Costich Engineering. Upon graduation he joined the staff full time as an engineer-in-training where his main responsibilities were coordination and preparation of Environmental Impact Statements, permit applications from county, state and federal agencies, stormwater management, culvert analysis, highway and signal design, computer modeling of traffic, hydrology and fluid mechanics, watermain design, hydraulic studies and sanitary design, feasibility studies, concept sketches, contract documents and specifications. In 2017, Alex became a registered professional engineer licensed in New York State. Alex now manages the design on various commercial, educational institutions and mixed use projects throughout New York State. In his free time, Alex enjoys hunting, fishing, sailing and biking around the City of Rochester.
