Project Background

The Finger Lakes Welcome Center was a New York State funded redevelopment of the existing City of Geneva Visitor Center located at the north end of Seneca Lake. The site includes many amenities and is operated by the New York Kitchen — Taste NY Market, providing local sources of food and beverages. Additional site features include a playground, two large patios, a fountain and electric vehicle parking. Costich was responsible for site and landscape design details, utility and lighting upgrades, and coordination of various other site amenities. Since completion, the Welcome Center has been heralded as a new gateway to the Finger Lakes region.
