Costich Engineering is seeking a Project Engineer with 6–10 years of experience to join our multidisciplinary team in Rochester, NY. This role spans civil and site development, municipal infrastructure, and everything in between, from stormwater design and AutoCAD Civil 3D plan production to permitting, field investigations, and construction support.
We’re a locally rooted, family-oriented firm where engineers take real ownership of their work and collaborate closely with Project Managers, surveyors, and landscape architects from concept through construction. Costich Engineering is looking for an experienced Office Survey Technician to take on a substantive role in our surveying operations — someone who can work independently, produce accurate deliverables, and help bring junior staff along.
The work spans boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, construction, and as-built drafting; deed and right-of-way research; data processing; and coordination with field crews, project managers, and licensed surveyors. We’re a locally rooted, multidisciplinary firm — engineers, surveyors, and landscape architects work closely here.
5+ years of office survey technician experience and strong AutoCAD and Civil 3D proficiency required. NYS surveying standards familiarity and ALTA/NSPS experience preferred. LSIT or progress toward licensure is a plus.
Salary range: $75,000–$105,000, commensurate with experience.

Costich Engineering is looking for a Survey Party Chief to lead field operations across boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, utility, construction layout, and as-built surveys. You’ll supervise and mentor field crew, maintain data accuracy and quality control, and coordinate with project managers, office survey staff, and contractors to keep work moving efficiently.
This is a role with real ownership — we’re in a planned leadership transition and looking for someone ready to step into a long-term position at the center of our field operations. We’re a locally rooted, multidisciplinary firm, and field staff work closely with our office technicians and licensed surveyors.
5+ years of land surveying experience with field crew leadership required. Strong proficiency with total stations and GNSS/GPS equipment expected. Valid driver’s license and ability to work in varying site conditions required. NYS surveying standards familiarity and LSIT certification or interest in pursuing licensure preferred.
Salary range: $70,000–$90,000, commensurate with experience.
