You’ll gain hands-on field and office experience supporting boundary, topographic, and construction surveys while working under the supervision of a Licensed Professional Land Surveyor.

We’re seeking a Professional Land Surveyor to lead and support surveying projects in and around Rochester, NY. This role includes overseeing boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, construction layout, and as-built surveys; managing field crews; reviewing and certifying survey work; and coordinating with engineers and project teams.
New York State PLS license (or ability to obtain within six months) required. Prevailing wage and supplemental benefits are paid for qualifying field work. Compensation is negotiable based on experience.

Summer interns work with one of our design teams, supporting active projects through a mix of office and field work. Responsibilities include assisting with AutoCAD Civil 3D drafting, site design support, application and permitting materials, project tracking, and field inspections and reporting.

We are a third generation family owned and operated firm. Our team is extremely dedicated and loyal with some key members of the firm being here since the beginning in 1977. They were hired by our founder Charles J. Costich II, P.E., L.S, worked under Mark R. Costich, P.E. & Charles J. Costich III, P.E., and now work alongside our third generation leaders: Sarah J. Costich, R.L.A., President & Mike O. Ritchie, P.E., Vice President. We have brought on some additional Principals of the firm during the last couple of years, including Alex H. Amering, P.E., Evan R. Gefell, R.L.A. and Dan Hickok, L.S.
Sarah J. Costich, R.L.A. is the majority owner of the firm. We were officially designated as a New York State WBE in November of 2021!
